- Who Are We:
- The Travellers Assistance Services of Toronto is a Not-for-Profit Volunteer driven organization dedicated to assisting Travellers and Visitors alike to the Greater Toronto Area and Southern Ontario Region.
- Why Do We Exist:
- There has always been a special need to assist "Strangers-in-a-Strange Place". By providing friendly assistance, we hope to make the travel experience a little more pleasant and a lot less stressful.
- What Do We Do:
- Approximately 150 Toronto and Area volunteers meet, greet, and assist thousands of travellers each year. Our services include:
- Finding last minute Bed & Breakfast, Hostel, Hotel, Motel and Emergency accommodations.
- Providing tourist information, maps and suggestions on "What to See and Do" in Toronto and Area.
- Act as a referral link between immigrants, refugee claimants or stranded travellers and social agencies.
- Finally, we assist travellers by solving many of their "day-to-day" challenges, just by being there with a friendly smile.
